Texas Comptroller Plans to Expand the Fossil-Fuel Boycott List

Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar plans to add at least one more firm to the state’s tally of financial companies that “boycott” the fossil fuel industry when he updates a divestment list in the coming weeks.

“There will be a new addition,” Hegar, a Republican, said during a discussion on environmental, social and governance investing hosted by the Texas Public Policy Foundation on Wednesday. The update will come this month, he said.
